TS Intermediate 1st Year Political Science (Civics) Syllabus (2022 -2023)

Welcome to Learn At Ur Desk!

If you are TS intermediate Student then you are well aware of changes that happened in Intermediate Syllabus before and during the pandemic.

Now, TSBIE has prescribed a 100% syllabus for the Academic Year 2022-23 for all the students of both I & II Year Intermediate Education as the pandemic has lost its effect and all the Junior colleges have been working since 15th June 2022.
Hence, the Government of Telangana, the TSBIE prescribed a 100% syllabus as well as a Model Question Paper for Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) & Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examination (IPASE)- 2023, which we used to follow before the COVID-19 pandemic.

In this post, you will find all the information regarding the Intermediate first-year new 100% syllabus for the Political Science (Civics) subject. (w.e.f 2019-2020) applicable for the march 2020 Final Exams and the 2023 Final Exams.

Earlier this subject was called 'Civics' but now TSBIE has changed its name to 'Political Science'.

In the notification dated 3rd July 2019, TSBIE informs regarding the revised syllabus and changing the name of the 'Civics' subject to 'Political Science'.

TSBIE has made a very good move by changing the name of 'Civics', as the subject 'Civics' is not offered at the +2 level in the CBSE and ICSE. It does not even find its place in other State Boards of India at the +2 level. Further Universities like Delhi University are not considering the Subject 'Civics' as 'Political Science' and deny admission for Undergraduate courses like BA (Honours) Political Science. That also means a CEC student who once studied the subject Civics can't teach that subject as the qualification of a Civics lecturer in MA Political Science. Hence, TSBIE has changed the name of the 'Civics' subject to 'Political Science'.

Coming to the revised syllabus, new textbooks are already available in the market. So All the Students, Lecturers, and Principals are requested to follow the revised syllabus for the first year. However, the failed candidate will be permitted to appear in this subject with the old syllabus as the last chance to clear the subject in IPE in March 2020 and Supplementary IPE in May/June 2020.

Below you can find the complete syllabus (revised) for TS Intermediate 1st-year Political Science (w.e.f 2019-2020). Applicable for Academic year 2022-2023.
